Hello All!

The next Digital Group Meeting will be held on Monday 22 March 2010 and the venue is the Garden City Library Meeting Room (Garden City Shopping Centre, Upper Mt Gravatt, Kessells and Logan Road, entrance off Macgregor Street near the Cinemas, UBD: D12 Page 201).  The meeting room will be open by 7.00 pm for a 7.30 pm start.


You can exhibit up to 5 images (space permitting) in the Digital Slideshow and get some feedback from experienced supportive club members.  Don't leave it to the last minute, images are accepted at any time between now and Friday 19 March 2010.
   
Agenda for the meeting:

  • Showcase of YOUR images - details see Note 1 below.
  • Discussion about the showcase images - we encourage open discussion about the images displayed.
  • Ask an expert - images that you would like an experienced digital club member to make some suggestions - details see note 2 below.
  • Questions from club members and visitors?
  • Using the Gradient Tool (Tony & Ken)
  • Make the foreground pop (Mike Green)
  • Gradient Map conversion to B&W  (Graham, time permitting)
  • Refreshments will be served and a $2-00 donation is payable on entry please.


Note 1 Images for the Digital Showcase Presentation - this is not the club monthly competition

  • The subject matter is open.
  • Email title should be: Digital Group Showcase.
  • Email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it by Friday 17 March 2010.
  • You can submit up to 5 images for projection, however they may be limited to the first three (3) images if we get a large number of entries.
  • The images should not be greater than 1024 pixels wide and 768 pixels in height.
  • There are no file size limits and they should be saved at the best quality.
  • The images should be submitted as Adobe RGB JPEG files.
  • Author's name and title on the image is optional.

Note 2 re Ask An Expert

  • The subject matter is open.
  • Email title should be: Ask An Expert.
  • Email to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it by Friday 17 March 2010 (or bring them on the night).
  • You can submit up to 2 images for opinion, however they may be limited to the first image if we get a large number of entries.
  • The images should not be greater than 1024 pixels wide and 768 pixels in height.
  • There are no file size limits and they should be saved at the best quality.
  • The images should be submitted as Adobe RGB JPEG files.
  • Author's name and software used may assist when providing the feedback.
