Villanova Players opens the curtains on our production of David Williamson's Influence next Friday 4 June, and so, as usual, we'd like to invite Mount Gravatt Photo Society members to photograph our dress
rehearsal, on Tuesday 1 June or Thursday 3 June at 7:30 pm and perhaps contribute some photos to our foyer for display during the show. Can you please pass the word around?
Influence is a very funny play which takes a swipe at the talkback radio "shock jock" (think John Laws or Stan Zemaneck).
It's about the life and influence of Ziggy Blasko - Australia's most popular talk back radio host! Though criticised for promoting ethnic hatred and inflaming tensions, he's the best. But the more he lashes out
at the world, the more his own life may be falling apart. Does this country still want to hear what he's got to say?
As usual the production and dress rehearsals are being held at : TAFE so here are all the details:-
Influence dress rehearsals
When: Tuesday 1 June, Thursday 3 June at 7:30 pm (although 8 pm start is likely)
Where: "The Theatre", Morningside Campus of TAFE, Clearview Tce,
Morningside (Air conditioned, FREE off-street parking.)
We'll offer comp tickets for opening weekend to MGPS members who come
along to photograph the dress rehearsal. Please book your tickets on
3899 9962 as this is a popular play (it was one of Sydney Theatre
Company's highest grossing productions ever).
..And spread the word to friends and family you think might be
